Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy

Make change from the inside out.

The Part of Your Mind that Drives Change

The subconscious operates below the threshold of conscious awareness. It continuously processes vast amounts of information: memories, habits, emotions, beliefs, and automatic behaviors.

Hypnosis helps you directly access this part of your mind to create rapid change.

You've been using the wrong part of your mind to try to create a change.

Heightened Suggestibility

Most people think that hypnosis is some wacky form of unconsciousness or sleep

But really, Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, typically induced by a trained practitioner using verbal repetition and mental imagery. What this means is that, While in this state, you experience a deep relaxation and reduced peripheral awareness, making them more open to suggestions that can influence their thoughts, feelings, perceptions & behaviors.

Hypnosis is not a form of unconsciousness or sleep.

You're aware and in control throughout. It's widely accepted as a legitimate tool for personal change for a variety of issues. Research has proven that it works by altering activity in brain regions associated with attention and self-awareness

"What if this was easy?"

One of the places where people often get stuck is that you're holding onto the idea that change has to be hard.

It's true that many of you have struggled up until now concerning your specific challenge.

One question to consider even before we speak: "What if this was easy?" Hypnosis can make that happen.

Hypnosis to Create Change

Surprising Facts About Hypnosis:

  • Hypnosis is a natural, wakeful state: You remain fully awake & aware. You are able to hear and comprehend everything. In fact, the average person enters a hypnotic-like state several times a day with experiences such as arriving at a destination with no memory of the drive, zoning out while reading, or losing track of time watching TV.
  • Hypnosis has a long history: Hypnosis has been recognized since the 18th century, when Franz Anton Mesmer first brought it to public attention around 1770. It has since evolved from a curiosity into a highly respected modality of personal change.
  • The origins of hypnotic change began with using hypnosis as a form of anesthesia: Hypnosis is a powerful tool for pain management. It works by removing the emotional experience of pain while still allowing the physical sensation. This distinction that has made it popular for women during childbirth, as well as in other medical settings.
  • Stage hypnosis and hypnosis for personal change are very different The dramatic performances seen on stage bear little resemblance to clinical hypnotherapy. Stage hypnosis relies on showmanship and performance. It's interesting and beneficial as it introduces many people to the idea of using hypnosis for personal change for issues such as fears, weight loss, quitting smoking, improving sleep, and reclaiming your emotional resilience.
  • Hypnosis doesn't cause memory loss: Memory loss under hypnosis is not automatic. Since hypnosis is rooted in suggestion, forgetting memories only occurs when that is a specific, intended outcome. Even then, those memories can typically be recovered through further suggestion. You'll remember the process; this serves as a tool to help you make use of self-hypnosis strategies to strengthen the change on your own.
  • All hypnosis is self-hypnosis: No hypnotist can make you do anything without your own cooperation. When a hypnotist gives a suggestion, it is you who chooses to follow it.
